Our Services
During your Electrical Safety Evaluation, we will:
- Remove the cover and assess the condition of your electrical panel.
- Do an infrared heat scan, showing which circuits might be under pressure and how much energy is being lost to heat.
- Tighten the lugs in your panel that hold down your wires to improve the connection since these will loosen over time.
- Inspect your home’s smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, making sure that they are properly placed, functioning well, and within their expiration dates. If they are battery operated, we will replace the batteries.
- Evaluate the electrical outlets and switches in your home. We focus on areas where you’re experiencing loose-fitting plug-ins, jiggly light switches, lots of extension cords, and high usage areas like kitchens and baths. And we’re happy to look at anything else that you want of concern to you.
- Discuss and assess future electrical needs. You may be considering adding an electrical vehicle charger, a hot tub, or maybe even doing a renovation. We’ll talk about what would be needed to accommodate that additional power demand.
- Show you exactly how to be prepared in the event of a power outage. Power surges can destroy microprocessors, which are the brains of every appliance in your home.
- Provide you with a detailed report, and a list of any options for repairs, updates, or improvements you may have discussed with us.
